I stumbled on the common STP metamodel last night because they had added a reference to wsper on their page (thanks !). These days it is really hard to keep track of all the good stuff that's going on. STP is definitely a great valuable project.
However, I would like to point out what I think, IMHO, is a mistake in the C-STP-M. Their metamodel (first figure) expresses that a process is composed of a series of steps which may invoke a service. I am not sure this is the right approach. Sure enough some processes might look like that but in general the relationship between process and service is more complex. I have written an ebook over the summer that will be available for download on InfoQ shortly that kind of explain my position on it.
