In this presentation just posted on InfoQ, Udi Dahan shows us that we are almost there. He articulates correctly SOA and EDA, he has the intuition that Processes are actually relying on "autonomous" component. One more step, just reflect on how these components are implemented and conceptually defined, and voila, the Business Entity Lifecycle, is right there. It has always been there because this is how information system works, unfortunately for decades we have been given RPC oriented programming models that could not be further away from the underlying conceptual model of an information system.
